Christ's Aeschylean fury

Christ’s Aeschylean Fury
Some say this play, of war, with poise solved all
With wisdom’s gods, who gave the courts to men.
But all of rage and darker wrath solved they?
No men might peace have had with other gods.
For sin itself cannot be solved, resolved
If all the men would cease their sinful life;
So grave is sin, already God his fist
Has shaken and his vengeance comes to call.
Orestes’s mother killed by him, a son
True anger justice feeds but now betrays,
So how can man for man now pay the fee?
Oh furious three incarnate come, like Christ
Because the frenzied hags men’s tasks take on.
Lay down your lives oh gods, away with anger’s vice.
